Video of Franzi playing the violin during an informal free time at the Grants Mid Year seminar in January. We had a fun time cross-country skiing and staying at a bed and breakfast north of Bozeman, Montana. Check out the link below of Franzi playing with her sisters at a church in Germany before she came this year as an exchange student. She has been playing the violin with the Helena Symphony this year and was a big hit at Night to Shine. Great talent Franzi! It has been fun working with you this year, I am looking forward to meeting your parents in April.
Foreign Exchange in Montana
This site is a history of foreign exchange students placed in Montana on the CIEE High School exchange program. See website at: www.ciee.org/highschool Relationships from the exchange can last a lifetime. Doug Bostrom is the local coordinator and team leader for CIEE publishing this blog. I have placed 25 students since 2007 within 100 miles of my home at Clancy, Montana. I am now looking for host families for the 2011/12 school year.

Picnic day in September
In September 2010 we had a welcome picnic so all of the students and their host families could get to know each other. The weather turned out cold and rainy so we ended up inside my home after eating dinner under canopies outside. The students played pool and got to know each other. Two of the students were missing. The 2010/11 students are from the following countries: Spain, Germany, Ukraine, Slovakia, South Korea, Brazil and Kazakhstan. The boy from Kazakhstan is in Butte with a new local coordinator, Kristin Grote.
